10 - Library Board Meeting, 7pm

21-25 - Arts Discovery Camp Theatre Week

July 27, 2pm, Book Signing at the Library with Cheryl Jett and Joe Sonderman.  Check out their book Route 66 in Illinois.

August 2014

9 - Atlanta Rotary Club BLOOD DRIVE, 9am - 2pm. Library Parking Lot.  All blood donations will be used at area hospitals.  Bring donor card or photo ID.  Eat and drink before giving blood.  Presenting donors will be entered into the August regional drawing for a Tailgating package.  Sign up by calling the Community Blood Center at 217-241-7550 or online at www.bloodcenterimpact.org

10 - Atlanta High School Class of 1962 Birthday Bash, 1-2pm at Atlanta City Park.  Bring photos and yearbooks, and enjoy birthday cake with your classmates.

13 - Arts Discovery Camp Picnic, 6-8pm at Atlanta City Park.  For Discovery Campers and their families.  Bring a dish to share.  Hot dogs and drinks will be provided.  RSVP to the Library 217-648-2112 or apldinformation@gmail.com

14 - Fall Farm Day at Gail's Pumpkin Patch, 1-5pm. 1709 2000th Ave., Beason, IL.  Pumpkin & face painting, farm tour, old fashioined barn games, crafts, barrel train, live bees & goats.  FREE  Call 217-447-3409 for more information.

20 - Lincoln Railsplitting Festival, 10am - 5pm.  Atlanta's Quilting Corner and United Methodist Women will showcase quilt frame-building and Hexagon piecing, and will offer quilting demonstrations as part of the Festival.  Quilt Challenge:  Create twin-sized quilt on site during Festival hours for donation to local charities.  Quilts must be completed by 2pm on September 21.  Judging begins at 2pm on the 21st.  Registration required.
